Mina continues to lose hair. Attend:
My celly phone pics aren’t very good but you can get the idea that she’s losing hair. Someone in the leasing office said a while back that they could tell she was “once a pretty dog.” I responded with a demon scowl. She’s still pretty, no matter what and the hair will eventually grow back.
She’s feeling better and her urination is much more normal. We drove out to Amissville to ECOW yesterday and I stopped three times on the way and a couple of times back so she could pee. She drank some water, too. We cleaned out their supply of the lamb Chow Now so I ordered some more. It is a long drive out there, about 30 miles, but it’s a lovely drive and we have a purpose! It’s also cheaper at ECOW than the closer Marshall IGA – $2.75 per carton cheaper.

Poor Mina, a UTI on top of everything else she’s going through. I feel for you. My dog had them frequently at the end, so he was on Clavamox one week a month to keep them at bay….but hopefully you can get rid of this infection completely.
They are still pretty, no matter how old or sick they are…..I think they age so much more graciously than humans! Give Mina lots of hugs and kisses, she’s a champion to go through all of this…and of course, so are you.
Hugs.

Thanks, Karen. I don’t feel like much of a champ when, though. I should’ve recognized the symptoms and had her into the vet’s office much earlier. It was a rough trip to the e-vet, lemme tell ya. She was shaking so hard I thought she’d fall over at one point. Thanks for checking in on us. 🙂

Don’t beat yourself up, I’ve been there and done that, but the ‘what if’ thoughts don’t help anything. All you can do is take it from here. I’ve been to that e-vet at 3 a.m. and know that feeling too. I feel for you. Good luck today!
