Wow, I just don’t know what to think! Allyson, the nice LVT, came out with Mina and had nothing but great things to tell me. Dr. B. is “extremely pleased” with all of Mina’s progress. Here are the highlights:

  • The anemia has resolved with an HCT of 41 percent. Mina is no longer anemic!
  • Her white blood cell count was up to 12,800 but still adequate for chemotherapy.
  • No splenomegaly, left popliteal lymph node is tiny at less than 1/2 cm.
  • An injection of Vincristine (0.37 mg IV) at a reduced dose was administered in the right saphenous vein today.
A VIMP budgie chat - they were really noisy today and very active!

Mina’s two front legs are usually the locations for her intravenous chemo treatments, but today those veins looked a bit tired so they used her right rear leg.

Her weight remained stable, as I predicted earlier. She’s still 49.2 pounds. I think we’ll do better with food this week because she handled the reduced dose of Vincristine so well the week before last.

She’s doing really well.
